The SCERA Art Studios are under the direction of professional artist Heather Wilson-Duncan.  SCERA Art Studios is a member of the National Art Education Association.  Our imaginative curriculum exceeds the National Standards for Visual Arts Education. 



SUMMER 2010
Join us for our fun and popular 2010 SIZZLIN’ SUMMER ART CAMPS.  SCERA Art Studios inspires students to reach beyond and create amazing visual art -- and they have a lot of fun, too!



GRADES K-6th          
THEME CAMPS

Check out the different theme camps below – choose one or as many as you’d like! Students will work with various art techniques and mediums each day, make five projects to take home…and have time for games and snacks.

Cost:  $45/week plus $10 materials fee (snacks provided)
Time:  Monday-Wednesday ► 9:00-11:30am

June 28-30:  Celebrate Groovy America!  Celebrate our country by creating groovy 4th of July art with tie-dye, spray paint, paint tossing, abstract techniques and lots more crazy fun!
July 5-7:  Wild, Wild West!  You and your fellow cowboys and Indians will make western-themed projects and have relay races, pie-eating contests and more!      
July 12-14:  Crazy Cartooning Beach Party!   Cartoon and ride the waves, dude.
July 19-21:  Ahoy Matey!  A creative voyage with pirates, mermaids & treasure chests.
July 26-28:  Knights, Kings, Queens & Dragons!  Return to a time of castles long ago and make crowns, a big dragon and other medieval-themed projects.

GRADES 6-8th      
MIXING IT UP!

Students will use a variety of art mediums and techniques to create 4-5 drawing/painting projects to take home. Class sizes are small to allow for individual attention. No prior art experience is necessary!  All levels are welcome. Classes are taught by a professional artist.  Every week is different.  Choose one week or as many as you’d like!
