Celebrity Vocal Competition

SUMMER 2010

Join us for the 5th Annual Celebrity at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre, a talent search any serious vocalist won’t want to miss!  With vocal and instrumental backup from a professional band, singers choose from songs in the band’s repertoire and compete before judges looking for Utah’s hottest talent! The winner will have multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year, including a TV appearance on ABC Channel 4’s Good Things Utah.  Summer 2010 preliminary competition nights are Wednesdays June 16, 23, July 7, 14 and August 4, 11.  Each competition begins @ 8:00 pm. There is a limit of 15 singers/preliminary night and three winners will be chosen each preliminary night.  Those eighteen will move on to compete in the semi-finals.  The Top Six will open for a major concert on August 28 at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre, and our 2010 Celebrity will be chosen by a panel of judges.  There is a $35 registration fee.  Beginning in early April, you can call (801) 225-ARTS to reserve your spot.

Not a singer? Come cheer on the performers as they rock the mic to some of your favorite tunes.  Admisson is $4 Adults, $3 Child (age 3-11), Students (w/ID) and Seniors (65+).
