You’ll swoon! You’ll sway! Conrad Birdie is on his way! You’ll love this high energy family musical inspired by the Elvis Presley phenomenon that rocked American culture in the 1950’s. A satire about teen idols done with the fondest affection, Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be drafted into the army. But don’t worry, girls! His manager has cooked up a plan to send him off with a swell new song and one last kiss from a lucky fan. Full of good old-fashioned fun, some wholesome hip shakin’ and a dreamy musical score, you won’t want to say bye-bye to this Broadway classic! Presented by the talented cast of Acting Up!, SCERA’s award-winning high school company. Directed by Kathryn Little.
