Move over Captain Jack Sparrow! Wacky, irreverent and as entertaining today as it was when it first opened in 1879, this hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, a sexy Pirate King, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and a delightfully dotty Modern Major General, all contribute to a comic cacophony that is the goofy glory of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance at its swashbuckling best.  Add in some ridiculous logic, a misplaced sense of duty, and a sparkling score you’ll hum all the way home, and the result is an uproarious comic masterpiece loved by audiences the world over.  Join the Pirates of Penzance as they set hearts aflutter with their delightful high seas hijinks in this evening of outrageous theatrical fun!  Peformed by SCERA's award-winning high school company, Acting Up.  Directed by Kathryn Little.
